Repent and revival

When we disobey the Word of God, we commit sin. Sin brings guilt into our conscience and separates us from fellowship with God. This separation from God is the reality of spiritual death.

The Bible says, “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

Therefore, we must repent of our disobedience and turn back to God. Jesus said, “Repent ye, and believe the gospel” (Mark 1:15). Repentance means turning away from sin and turning toward God with a sincere heart.

But we cannot cleanse our guilty hearts by our own efforts. It is through the precious blood of Jesus Christ that we receive forgiveness, cleansing, and a clear conscience. Through Christ, our hearts can be restored, and we can experience the inner peace that comes from being reconciled with God.

The Bible says, “How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:14).

Therefore, let us repent of our disobedience, confess our sins, and put our faith in Jesus Christ. We cannot remove our guilt by our own strength, but the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us and gives us a clear conscience before God.

Repentance turns our hearts back to God; the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses our conscience; and through Christ, we have peace with God.
