Why was Jesus Christ crucified?
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Salvation is possible only through the blood of Jesus Christ, which breaks the bondage of sin and reconciles us to a right relationship with God.
John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
How to get Salvation?
Ephesians 2:8-9 - For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
We are called to seek God with our whole hearts and to humbly pray to the Almighty for the forgiveness of our sins, asking Him to turn our hearts away from a life of iniquity. Salvation is not attained through worldly rituals or human effort; it is entirely the work of God's sovereign grace. Nevertheless, this grace calls us to true repentance and a life oriented toward God.
How to protect Salvation?
John 15:5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Without repentance, we cannot preserve the salvation we have received. We must also abide in God's Word. Each day, through His Word, we are called to transform our lives into God-centered lives.
Why should we repent, and how does the Holy Spirit work in us?
Matthew 4:17 - From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."
Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God
When we repent, God cleanses our soul from sin. But if, after being cleansed, we return to walking in the "dirty water" (the sinful and worldly ways) then we allow our soul to become polluted again
So we should repent sincerely.
If we choose instead to walk in the "Pure water" (the righteous ways guided by the Holy Spirit) we will remain clean and grow closer to Jesus Christ.
The Living water of God’s truth and Holiness keeps us renewed and strenghtens our faith
John 7:38 - He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.
John 16:13 - However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.
How can we prepare our lives for Jesus Christ’s Second Coming?
Matthew 25:6-10 - And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ
Matthew 24:30 - And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
